Most of our resources are links to other sites – there is a lot of good stuff out there on the web!

  • Suas Constitution. – English version
  • Suas Constitution – Am Bun-reachd Gàidhlig version.
  • Suas logos – for use by Suas members only. Title and Learning Tree
  • North Ayrshire Council Gaelic Language Plan.
  • BBC Alba Gàidhlig TV and Radio
  • LearnGaelic – Lots on this site, but the reference section is particularly good with audio in many of the dictionary entries.
  • Go! Gaelic – Aimed mostly at teachers and trainers with resources for kids.
  • Am Faclair Beag – A great on-line Gàidhlig dictionary, with strong connections to the classic Dwelly dictionary.
  • Speak Gaelic – Managed by MG Alba, in partnership with Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and the BBC. An excellent site.
  • The Gaelic Books Council / Comhairle nan Leabhraichean – Clue is in the site name!
  • Akerbeltz.org A wiki-type site, with lots of detailed information on pronunciation, grammar etc.
  • Akerbeltz.com Mìcheal Bauer offers a translation service.
  • Gàidhlig feed on Bluesky
  • Gàidhlig on the web A Sabhal Mòr Ostaig site, with a huge number of links!
  • Tobar an dualchais Kist of Riches. Scottish music, stories and recordings. A mix of Beurla and Gàidghlig.
  • Igaidhlig Mix of items with a Computer and other IT theme.
  • Clilstore A very interesting and unusual site! Select a language (gd for Scots Gàidhlig) and you get a list of – mostly- short videos which can be used as teaching/learning resources.
  • Sgeulachdan – Created for children, this site has traditional stories with words, audio and animation. Great help with pronunciation!
  • Gaelic4parents – lots of resources to help your child learn Gaelic, aligned with GME.
  • Duolingo – love it or hate it, it gets a lot of people at least started with Gaelic!
  • and of course, Google Translate! This is mostly accurate, and is improving all the time, but be careful!
